This blog is going to be used throughout my Master’s of Science in Early Childhood Studies (MSECS) program.  I am looking forward to all that I learn through this blog over the course of my studies.

It is true, children begin to associate words with pictures. I often have my children from 2 to 4 take a picture walk. They open their books and talk about what they see in the pictures. This helps the children build their vocabulary. It almost the same as a child identifying their numbers by counting objects. (ie: ** = 2)
